How to set up email in Netscape
Netscape is available
for free download at
www.netscape.com. The instructions
below are for version 6.2.

(1) Click "Edit" and select "Mail
& Newsgroups Account Settings".

(2) Click "New Account".

(3) Select "ISP or email provider" and
press "Next".

(4) Type "Your Name" and Next in the
appropriate spaces and press "Next".

(5) Select "POP" and type your "Server
Name" as shown above, replacing
with your IP number (example: 208.27.80.142),
then press "Next".

(6) Enter your "User Name". Your
user name is everything before the @ symbol
in your email address. If your email address
is yourname@yourdomain.com, your user
name would be yourname. Press "Next".

(7) Enter your "Account Name".
This is how recipients of your messages will
see who the message is coming from. This
can be your name, your e-mail address, etc.

(8) Verify your information. Note the
"Outgoing Server Name". You will
need to change it to match the "Incoming
Server Name". Press "Finish"
then follow next step.

(9) Click "Edit" and select "Mail
& Newsgroups Account Settings".

(10) Select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)".
Enter your "Server Name" and "User
Name" and press "OK". Server
Name must be the same as your Incoming Server
Name. User Name is the part of your email
address before the @ symbol.

(11) When you check your e-mail or send a new
message, you may be asked to enter your password.
If you check the box marked "Use Password
Manager to remember this password", you
will not have to enter your password again.
